Our second Community Kitchen with Afoa and Yalla Collective Space took place this Sunday — a day filled with solidarity and good food. Together, we served over 130 portions of home-cooked food to more than 100 people, followed by 200 delicious donuts for dessert!

A warm meal, prepared by Afghan refugees, shared in a space of solidarity and care.

Come share a free, nourishing meal with us in a safe and welcoming space — no cost, no discrimination, no questions asked.

This initiative is based on the simple idea that food brings people together — everyone deserves the warmth of a meal shared with others.

🍲 Inclusive menu: halal meat and vegan dishes.

There will also be a free market — feel free to pick up clothes, kitchen items, and other accessories you might need.

On May 3rd, we gathered to celebrate the culture, history, and spirit of Nigeria through a country presentation and a warm social gathering. Everyone enjoyed free traditional Nigerian food, meaningful conversations, and good company.

Afghan Food & Culture

For the first event of the Flavors for Change project, we’re gathering to share traditional Afghan food. Afghan refugees will be preparing a traditional meal for everyone to enjoy, bringing the rich flavours of their culture straight to the heart of our community.

This event is all about inclusion, cultural exchange and solidarity.

The food is free and everyone is welcome!
*Vegetarian meals will also be available
