Some moments from our Syrian Street Food day at @commonground.cy , part of the Time To Move community event! The food was prepared by a Syrian refugee chef and shared completely free for everyone to enjoy. It was such a beautiful event, full of great food, fun people and good vibes all around. We had an amazing time together! ✌️

A look back at our recent Pakistani food workshop, where we learned how to make aalo paratha, gobhi paratha and namak para.

The workshop was guided by refugees with Pakistani background who shared their knowledge and love for traditional cooking 🇵🇰

Community Kitchen - Free Food for All

Come by for another monthly Community Kitchen in the old town of Nicosia, next Sunday, 02 November.
A freshly cooked meal with halal meat and vegan options will be served at 13:30.

You’re welcome to sit and share a meal with us or take your food to go.

*no cost, no discrimination and no questions asked!

There will also be a Free Market, where you’re welcome to pick up clothes, kitchen items and other useful things you might need (open until 13:00).

Community Kitchen 05/10/2025

Another beautiful Sunday of food, solidarity and community. Together with AFOA and Yalla Collective Space, we cooked up Cypriot-style tava (halal beef & vegan soya) with orzo , followed by refreshing watermelon and melon for dessert!
 
Over 120 portions served, countless smiles shared and the same warm energy that makes these gatherings so special.
 
Thank you to everyone who helped cook, serve and share the day with us, community at its best.

A refugee with Pakistani background will guide us through a traditional cooking workshop, preparing authentic dishes while sharing insights from their culture. After the workshop, we’ll all sit together to enjoy the food.
